The Washington Post (WaPo) has been very biased against Israel and Jews is nothing new. It has been one of their regular themes for decades.
But, the fact that Israel took in premature babies from Gaza and treated them at no cost to anyone is somehow distorted in order to incite more hatred against Israel.
The WaPo article is titled, “Israel’s war with Hamas separates Palestinian babies from their mothers.” So, I am assuming the WaPo would prefer that Israel let the babies die.
Robert Satloff of The Washington Institute for Near East Policy noted:
“What is the gist? That several dozen Palestinian mothers and premature infants have been separated because of the war, the latter all cared for in unidentified hospitals in Israel or the West Bank. Tragedy’ is a much-used term in a conflict that began with Hamas’s murder and kidnapping of Israeli babies—a fact interestingly not mentioned in a story about babies and this war—but no one dies in this story; these Palestinian babies are all safe and protected.”
“There is the uncomfortable fact that some of these babies are being cared for in Israel — yet the whole story rests on the inhumanity of Israel’s alleged policy of denying re-entry permits to some mothers, preventing them from reuniting with their children, but the reporters do not appear to even have sought comment from Israeli officials, allegedly because ‘staff members fear reprisals from Israeli authorities,’” Satloff wrote. “Really? What sort of reprisals? Did the reporters document any examples of such reprisals? Did they even ask?”
“In a war filled with death, the Washington Post took a fundamentally good news story about premature babies from Gaza cared for by compassionate people across enemy lines and turned it into a horror story, with diabolical Israelis lurking overhead. Along the way, reporters who stated with precision what infant items are on the floor of blown-out buildings in faraway Gaza repeated unverified accusations against unnamed Israeli authorities by unnamed administrators in unnamed hospitals in unnamed Israeli cities. If that isn’t the one-sided editorialization of news, what is it?”
I find it amazing that Anti-Semitism is on full display all across the globe including on college campuses and even in Congress where Rashida Tlaib called for the destruction of Israel itself. I never thought I would see the bday when terrorists like Hamas and Osama bin Laden would be praised on the left.
I am not surprised that they are racists and would be ecstatic over the number of Jews and Americans were slaughtered or taken as hostages. I am just surprised by the fact that they now openly admit it.
This bodes well for Donald Trump as he regains the presidency as the Biden administration continues to alienate Jews, Christians, Blacks and Hispanics. The Democrats are in a tough spot. Joe Biden will need a massive vote manufacturing in order to get a second term.
Maybe he will get over 100 million votes this time around. Even is Biden drops out, the Democrat really have no one who can win. They are floating Kamala Harris and even two time loser Hillary Clinton as possible replacements. Both of them appear on the popularity scale one step behind cancer.
