Initially, Enten emphasized the persistent issue in polling where pollsters continuously underestimated the level of support for Donald Trump.

This trend was not a one-time occurrence, as evidenced by the 9-point and 5-point discrepancies in the polling results for crucial swing states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan during both the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Furthermore, Enten highlighted that despite Trump’s popularity reaching an all-time high, this fact seems to be downplayed, even by reputable sources such as the New York Times.

Additionally, while Kamala Harris appeared to have achieved success in increasing fundraising and voter enthusiasm for the Democrats, she has not significantly impacted the number of committed voters, which has remained stagnant at around 62-61 percent since May.

In light of these observations, Enten cautioned that Trump is positioned strongly for the upcoming election.

He pointed out that these factors collectively indicate a formidable advantage for Trump in the coming electoral contest.
