President Joe Biden has significantly expanded the number of foreign nationals in the United States eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), reaching nearly 1.2 million individuals who are now shielded from deportation.

Recent data from the Pew Research Center shows that close to 1.2 million foreign nationals are currently eligible for TPS, enabling them to remain in the U.S., obtain work permits, and avoid removal.

Under Biden’s administration, the Department of Homeland Security has included Afghanistan, Burma, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ukraine, and Venezuela in the list of countries whose nationals without legal immigration status in the U.S. can qualify for TPS.

In a move last September, Biden granted TPS to almost half a million Venezuelans residing in the U.S., following a similar provision for nearly a quarter of a million Venezuelans in 2021.

Under Biden’s leadership, the number of foreign-born individuals in the United States has significantly increased.

Recent figures released by the Center for Immigration Studies reveal that over 51 million foreign-born individuals currently call the U.S. home, marking the highest level in American history.

“The foreign-born share of the U.S. population has more than tripled since 1970, nearly doubled since 1990, and is up 40 percent just since 2000,” CIS researchers write. “Since President Biden took office in January 2021, the foreign-born population has grown by 6.4 million — larger than the individual populations of 33 states.”

US intelligence officials are issuing alerts about possible terrorist threats aimed at large gatherings in the United States following a recent attack by ‘ISIS’ militants on concert attendees in Moscow.

“Law enforcement officials expressed concern that radicals in the U.S. might respond to ISIS calls for similar attacks in the wake of last month’s deadly terrorist attack at a concert hall in Moscow,” ABC News reported.

“The U.S. intelligence bulletin warns that ISIS operatives worldwide and so-called “lone wolves” might respond to recent statements from the terrorist group touting the attack in Russia and encouraging more attacks on public venues — even if the individuals are not members of ISIS,” the outlet reported.

FBI and Homeland Security officials warned US law enforcement about the potential for terror at “mass gatherings such as sports stadiums, concert venues, or houses of worship in the United States.”
