U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has been informed by government whistleblowers that the security detail for former President Donald J. Trump’s rally on July 13, where an attempted assassination took place, was primarily made up of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel rather than United States Secret Service (USSS) agents.
Following the assassination attempt, the USSS has tried to shift blame onto local police for the security breach.
“[W]histleblower allegations suggest the majority of DHS officials were not, in fact, USSS agents but instead drawn from the department’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI),” the Missouri Senator wrote in a letter Friday to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Sen. Hawley continued: “This is especially concerning given that HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations.”
The National Pulse recently brought attention to the disapproval expressed by local and state law enforcement in Pennsylvania towards USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle’s claims that security lapses during an event were the fault of local police.
Specifically, the Butler, Pennsylvania police department asserted that USSS had relegated them to simply directing traffic, with no direct responsibility for securing areas outside the USSS security perimeter.
This controversy escalated when House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) revealed that he had issued a subpoena for Cheatle to testify before his committee.
This action was prompted by Comer’s discovery that DHS officials had instructed Cheatle not to communicate with the committee, raising concerns about transparency and accountability.
Of particular concern is the revelation that most of the security detail was comprised of HSI staff.
This is troubling in light of federal officials’ acknowledgement that they had been aware of an Iranian-backed plot to assassinate former President Trump as retribution for a 2020 drone strike that killed Iranian military leader Qasem Soleimani.

The implications of these developments are far-reaching.
They call into question the effectiveness and coordination of security measures at high-profile events, as well as raise concerns about potential foreign threats targeting prominent individuals.
Additionally, the lack of cooperation between USSS and relevant oversight committees raises broader issues concerning government accountability and transparency.
These revelations have stirred public interest and raised important questions about national security protocols and inter-agency communication.
There is a pressing need for thorough investigation and robust dialogue to address these issues and ensure the safety and integrity of critical events and public figures.
Hey! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing many months of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any methods to stop hackers?
