On a bright Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania, the unexpected occurred. Shortly after Donald Trump began his political rally, gunfire erupted, causing the former president to fall to the ground.
Live video captured blood flowing from his ear as Secret Service agents escorted him away, pumping his fist in the air to signal to the crowd and the world that he had endured.
Trump could be observed mouthing the word “fight” in defiance of the assassination attempt.
For the rational individuals, it was a display of strength and a completely justified reaction to such a despicable act. However, the media viewed it differently.
CNN's Jamie Gangel attacks Trump for saying "Fight! Fight! Fight!" after someone tried to murder him.
Literally, she complains about what he did 5 seconds after he was shot

“We want to tamp it down,” proclaims the same press that has spent years comparing Trump to Hitler and insisting that the Republicans will end democracy in the United States if they win elected office.
Notable is that no one on CNN ever expressed that opinion when Joe Biden made this post.
How biased and deceitful is the mainstream media? They blatantly ignored the assassination attempt even after it was evident.
The headlines were shockingly misleading, describing “loud noises” and falsely claiming that Trump had fallen during a rally.
Someone tries to assassinate the presumptive GOP candidate for president. And behold, your media:
WaPo: “loud noises”
CNN: “Trump falls”
NBC: “popping noises” pic.twitter.com/xeYRAlWFrM— Rachel Bovard (@rachelbovard) July 13, 2024
In a remarkable instance, the Indianapolis Star reported that Trump had merely been “startled” by “loud noises.”
It’s important to note that the assassination attempt occurred in real time, with live video footage capturing the sounds of gunshots and showing the former president being shot, along with a man standing behind him.

Margaret Brennan of CBS News, renowned for her strong left-wing bias, and her array of guests truly stood out with their extreme reactions. If you believed the media couldn’t sink any lower, be prepared to have that belief challenged.
On CBS, Margaret Brennan and Samantha Vinograd talk up "retaliatory violence" from right-wingers, and then we hear of January 6. Knew this line was coming…. pic.twitter.com/JO9572UlXn

Similar to the immediate concern for “Islamophobia” following Islamist terror attacks, Brennan’s greater concern was the potential for non-existent “retaliatory violence” by Republicans rather than the actual assassination attempt that had just taken place.
Referencing January 6th in this context was deemed unfounded, as an attempt to assassinate a prominent presidential candidate is a more severe assault on American democracy compared to a brief riot in which no participant fired a shot at anyone.
However, that was just Brennan’s initial preparation.
Once she brought on CBS News’ Robert Costa, she started insisting that Republicans “lower the political temperature,” without acknowledging the left-wing rhetoric that likely provoked the shooter.
CBS's Robert Costa complains "Trump supporters on social media tonight are extremely angry" at the assassination attempt, lamenting "this is still a politically charged moment".

Later in the broadcast, Brennan proceeded to address the camera, delivering a lecture on potential retaliation.
She rhetorically emphasized her disapproval of inspiring violence and firmly expressed her desire to have no involvement in such actions.
However, she notably avoided acknowledging the likelihood that Democrats may have played a role in inciting the violence she was reporting on.
CBS's Margaret Brennan, out of control: "We want to make clear that this
is something we are reporting…as a historic event…We are very mindful that this kind of event can inspire violence, it can inspire retaliation, and we want no part of that." #TrumpAssassinationAttempt pic.twitter.com/FOpk9Q3B9U— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) July 14, 2024
Brennan subsequently invited Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) onto the show, who had survived an assassination attempt by a supporter of Bernie Sanders in 2017.
She then urged him to “tone down the rhetoric” and insinuated that linking the shooting to the Biden administration’s provocative remarks was inappropriate.

If CBS News had any sense of integrity, they would remove Brennan from the air following her performance. If not through termination, then at least by imposing a suspension.
However, it is unlikely to happen and the press will persist in disgracing themselves in the future.
