James Talarico, a Democratic representative from Texas who identifies as a ‘progressive’ Christian, criticized Christians who support Trump during a recent appearance on MSNBC.
He accused them of ignoring Jesus and worshiping Donald Trump, suggesting that their actions are not in line with Christian values.
It seems Talarico may not understand that many Christians support Trump because they feel he respects their beliefs, unlike the left which often demeans and insults Christians.
Talarico also indicated his preference for Kamala Harris over Trump “out of love for his neighbor,” implying that he views her as sinless and worthy of worship.
This editor finds it peculiar how Democrats are portraying Harris as a model Christian, despite her Indian-American background and lack of public discussion about her faith, aside from childhood memories of celebrating Kwanzaa.
