The Clintons swiftly gave their support to Kamala Harris for president following Biden’s announcement of his withdrawal from the 2024 race last month.
Harris was not elected by the people but rather selected by a small group of Democrat elites, as she likely would not have been able to secure victory in the primary.
Hillary utilized the late lawmaker’s funeral as a platform for her campaign.
“But come next January when our first woman president takes the oath of office, I’ll be thinking of Sheila, wondering what up in heaven she’s wearing, what magnificent long scarf she has wrapped around herself,” Hillary Clinton said.
