Prior to the transfer, guards at the jail conducted a temperature check on Samsel and Lang around 7 pm on Monday, signaling an imminent disruption of their routine. By 4 am on Tuesday, they were heavily restrained in black box cuffs and loaded onto a bus without any information about their destination.
